Prompt Text
Jane Porter, 33: Overgrown Apartment A 33-year-old woman with soft ginger hair in a messy bun full of pencils, loose orange strands around her face and freckles on her nose and shoulders, sits on the floor of a small apartment overtaken by plants. She stares at the camera with tired eyes behind cracked glasses, a cigarette in one hand and a mug of rum in the other. She wears a yellow Victorian explorer's dress, the skirt torn above the knee, with rolled-up sleeves, muddy boots and a stained leather satchel. A tattoo of a gorilla handprint sits on her shoulder, and a tattoo of jungle vines crawls up her arm. The room has vines crawling across the walls, dead and living plants everywhere, sketchbooks full of jungle and gorilla drawings scattered on the floor, empty rum bottles among plant pots, damp peeling wallpaper and a broken umbrella stand. Dim green light filters through a window blocked by leaves, with an old desk lamp glowing yellow on her ginger hair. The palette is jungle green, faded mustard, paper cream, rotten brown and soft ginger. The mood is an explorer who never found her way back.
